Whitehall Park, N19 – Spring 2021

Set within the popular residential enclave of Whitehall Park, we were commissioned to carry out this wonderful kitchen and ground floor remodeling project. The clients had a real creative flair and they were very much involved when it came to decision making and the themes that they wanted to work to, which meant that we had a very clear design brief to work from.

The striking frameless glass roof, Crittal patio doors and the beautiful “Oriel” box window were conducive to giving this property a real uniqueness. Little touches like the exposed brick areas in the kitchen, painted exposed steel beam and accent wall/ceiling lighting, added a suggestion of the popular “Industrial” style without being too overbearing. The addition of a bar, (complete with wine cooler, sink and glass shelving) in the reception room added some glitz to the property and made use of an area that often just becomes a high traffic “walk through” to the kitchen.

The gardens in these properties are notoriously small, but the client had some ingenious plans to maximise the outdoor space and create a truly wonderful area for “al fresco” dining and entertaining guests. We dug out the garden to achieve the required level and then created the desired seating/BBQ areas with blockwork. The tops of the raised beds and retaining walls were then clad with Cedar slats to be used as additional seating for guests, and finally an artificial lawn was laid.
